I Need Help Finding Wedding Prices Online, Can Someone Help?

It's for a school project and I need some help finding the following things. There has to be prices and I can't have any wedding packages.
Location
photographer
limo
tuxedo
wedding dress
DJ
I need them to have prices that's my #1 concern. I've been looking for a long time but I'm having no luck, especially with the location. They all want me to call and that's not going to help me at all. I'm not asking for someone to do my project, just give me some help.

Well la-di-da @ 12:13 am

Try theknot.com and you can research all the vendors there by location, etc. I would say almost all vendors (especially photographer and DJ) will have their prices listed because they're trying to be competitive.

Almost all of them are going to require you to call, because what they charge will depend on the length of time they're needed and what services are expected. Photographers can range from a few hundred dollars up to thousands of dollars depending on how long you want them to be there, what you want them to cover and what pictures and wedding albums they'll be providing you with afterwards. Likewise, wedding dresses can range from less than $100 to tens of thousands of dollars. Limos will depend entirely on what size of limo you want, how long you want it for, what you want it stocked with, and the distance you need to cover. Locations will depend on length of time it's needed for, the day of the week (weekends usually cost more), and what services you need them to provide. A DJ will also charge a range of prices, depending on length of time they're needed, and how much they're required to do. One that's there to just play from a pre-made list won't charge as much as one that has to put together a playlist himself and interact with the guests and keep the reception moving.
Here's a sample of costs from my wedding:
Location - $2,850
Photographer - $600
Limo - $75
Tuxedo rental - $75
Wedding dress - $300
DJ - Not having one, but got a quote of $700 for 4 hours.
Caterer - $1,000

I got married a couple of months ago, and I'll tell you something you already know: they generally don't quote prices online.
However, I'll tell you why. Most of the services you mentioned have to know more about your needs before they can quote you a price. For instance, our photographer needed to know if we wanted any black & white photos, if we wanted all digital prints, if we were going to do any of the traditional shots, if she just needed to mingle and take candid shots, etc., etc., etc. We answered questions for about 15 minutes before she could give us an estimate.
Same thing with our location. They wanted to know things like how many people would be attending, how many of their tables we would need, if the caterer would provide linens, if we were going to have a band, etc., etc., etc. Again, we answered questions (after doing a walk-through) for about 15-30 minutes before we arrived at anything close to an estimate.
So…I don't think I was much help, but at least now you know WHY you're not getting prices online. For something like a limo rental or a tux rental, you should at least be able to Google limo or formal wear places in your area and find a price, and for wedding dresses you can go to http://www.davidsbridal.com.
Good luck, dude.

Hi. Not sure what you mean.
Location? - the location and cost to rent a venue for a reception? If this is for a school project, does it need to be a local place? Get calling in the morning!
No one here can help you with that….it all depends on what is offered (food, cake, beverage, table set up) or NOT offered. You can rent a plain VFW hall for about $300 if you are in a rural area. If you live in LA…..well…..????
Photographer — depends on location again. Most have package prices. Get calling some local ones in the morning.
Limo - ?
Tuxedo - usually rents for $100-$150 for a plain one.
Wedding dress — Ebay - $10……Vera Wang…..$15,000!!
DJ - anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000
Everything is dependent on location, location, location. I live in a rural area where things are cheaper. If you are in a city…..well….you are going to pay.
Sorry, I'm no help!

Have you tried ebay?? They should have the photographer and probably a DJ. Have you thought of ringing places adn just saying that you are doing a project and their help would be appreciated. Other than that try to find a wedding website which will re-direct you to the various service providers that you need. I am in Australia so don't know if i can help too much, but good luck.

As far as a dress, you can try davidsbridal.com. They have stores all over the US. The rest might be hard to get without calling. If you call the place and explain that its for a school project, they would probably be able to give you an idea of the price.

I can be difficult to get accurate information on line about pricing.
The Venue might have per person prices, however you do have to have a certain minimum for catering and reception halls.
The photographer might have sample pricing on there. But, photographers often customize packages for the couple. This means the prices are going to be different then what's on line
The Limo–same deal. It'll probably depend on the size of your limo, the amount of people in it, the distance it needs to travel and the amount of time. Also, the price could be different by week according to the gas prices during certain months.
The Wedding Dress price can be estimated. But, remember alterations. You won't know what alterations you'll need until you pick out the dress and try it on. Also, don't forget shoes, undergarments and a veil.
The DJ….again. It depends on your location and the amount of hours you need him for.
You can definitely go on line and research "basic" prices. But, I would also account the fact that more or even less money could be spent. You can get an estimate of how much everything will cost. But, I reccommend adding a few hundred or even thousand to that original number.
