My Mother’s Second Wedding/ Limo-horse And Buggy Secret–read Details For Question Please!?
My mother is having her 2nd wedding less than 2 weeks from now. Due to her busy schedule, the plans are incredibly unorganized and the wedding was thrown together in only 2 months. I just realized today that she had not made transportation plans to the church from her house, then from the church to the reception. When we became aware of this, she asked me to look up a limo service. I found the 2 nearest services, called her back and gave her the numbers. 10 min. later, her fiancé called to inform me of the horse and buggy that would be awaiting her after the ceremony to take them both to the reception. The whole problem is that is supposed to be a surprise, so she will not know this when she is making the limo reservations. I am hoping we will be able to call the limo service to cancel the plans then make new ones, but I am not sure if they will be understanding and let us cancel her plans with out her knowing. Has anyone been in this situation or have any thoughts?

call the limo company and let them know what is going on. ask them if the can pretend to your mother that they will give her service for this part of the event but not actually show up. let them know that there is a surprise of the buggy that will be there. they should understand and should have no problem with this
Just tell her not to make plans to get to the reception. All she needs to know is that it was taken care of already. Let her think another Limo or something. You don’t need to give her any more info.
