Should I Get A Limo For My Wedding Or Not?

I am getting married in acouple of weeks and I am thinking about getting a limo but my finace thinks it's a waist of money for someone to drive us from the church to the resturant that we are having our family dinner. I would like to hear from you who have gotten married. How did you do the transportation from church to reception? Would you recommend getting a limo? or Should we drive on our own? I just don't know about driving on our own because I don't know of I want toget into a little car with my wedding dress : ( . Pleas help with any suggestions.

We left the church in an antique car convertible, much classier.
Limo's are not worth the money. You want people to see you leave. Good luck and congrats!

Hey friend, I can help you finding limos. LimoZu is the best way to find limo service. They compare all the limo companies in your area. Just click all the limos then compare the best price and service in town. This way you will save time rather then search each limo company.

I just got married, & we got limos for us & our bridal party. I loved it, & was just awesome seeing stangers waving to us & yellin "congrats" from the sidewalks. It was also our most relaxing moment of the day. Our bridal party also had a blast in their limo, and I felt good to provide that to them for being in our wedding party.
Plus, my wife would never have been able to fit her dress in a regular car.
I say do it.

I found the limo helpful, we were married a few blocks from our reception site, but also in NYC, where parking is a nightmare. We had the limo kind of just run in loops to carry people back and forth from hotel to church then back again, but I think our situation was unique.
If you dont want to go the whole stretch route, how about hiring a black car for the day to carry you both, that way you wont have to worry about driving yourselves and getting into a small car, maybe that would be a good option for you.

Most people would do a limo but if it's just a family dinner and not a reception i would say drive yourself

do you want one?

when i got married, we had the wedding and the reception at the same place, but when we left the reception to leave on our honeymoon we made our exit in a cute 1931 model A car. it looked so good, it was perfect. way better than a limo. and it was a small car, so we just stuffed my dress in, it didn't hurt anything and rode in it. it was worth it because it looked so good.

He's right, they are a waste of money. We're renting a nice car and having one of our friends drive us home. (Our wedding and reception are in the same place and I'm getting ready at the site.)

Yes…get a limo!!! It is well worth it.

We had a limo, and it was worth it. Cause after the emotional setting of the vows it was a nice ride for her and I to reflect. and get excited to attend our reception. Go for it. You only do it once………..

Go with the limo!!! You only get married once (hopefully) and you want the day to be special. My husband and I drove in his car and let's just say that was not the best experience trying to fit my great big dress into the passenger side of his little Nissan.
Congratulations and I hope your day is a magical one!
Hope this helps.

I'm using limos, but my ceremony site is quite a ways from my hotel, so they get a bit of use. For a shorter distance I might consider it a waste of money. My girfriends' dresses all fit fine in a 4 door sedan, without being damaged.

If your heart is telling you "limo", get a limo. I skipped out on a few things at my wedding that I REALLY wanted because I felt it wasn't worth the money. I promise you, you will always regret it. I have been married for 6 years, and I still think about how I should have made provisions to make my day perfect.

I just got married this past weekend and I didn't use a limo. It was not worth it after all the other expenses we paid. Get in your car, or hitch a ride with a parent with a minivan! haha!

yeeblaze @ 12:42 pm

you need some sort of transportation (not neccesarily a limo though) you definitely do not want to drive yourselves. Ask someone you know to drive you…Does any one of the guests have a really nice old classic car? If not, anyone with a nice car I'm sure would be happy to transport you.
